Moderator: Meagan Dietz (CBS '05) is a strategy and operations leader with over 20 years of experience across consulting, consumer, and retail businesses. She has worked with multinational corporations and growth-stage companies on expansion, business development, and scaling strategies across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. A former McKinsey consultant, Meagan has held leadership roles including COO and senior strategy positions across global markets. She is actively involved in the Columbia Business School community, including the Women’s Circle, supporting professional development and leadership initiatives. 

Silja Kim Bast (CBS ’14) is the Chief Business Development Officer at Breezm, a Series B eyewear company, headquartered in South Korea, rethinking how products are designed and delivered through AI and personalization. At Breezm, she focuses on turning emerging technologies, including AI, 3D scanning, 3D printing, and smart glasses, into real customer experiences, bridging the gap between innovation and actual purchase behavior across both physical retail and digital channels.
With a background spanning consulting, venture, and startup operations & business development, she brings a practical perspective on what it takes to build and scale foreign-born, AI-driven consumer businesses in the U.S.
